P U Z Z L E

Finally I do believe that there are times when I think we do know what our talents /gifting are but we simply will not act on them for what ever reason. We tend to procrastinate and make excuses or just shelf the idea away. Others might say they are not sure what their gifting and talents are, and so we keep searching and praying to the Lord show me my talent.

I always  think of the “parable of the Talent” in the Bible (Matthew 25-13-30) where those who were given more  talents, made use of what they had and even added to them, but the one with the least did absolutely nothing, and did not utilise his gift, he thought  that by playing it safe and not taking the risk to explore his  gift the master would have been  happy and  if you  read  on to the end of the chapter Matthew 25-13-30 you will find out exactly what  happened to him.

I knew I had  a gift,I have used it  partially over the years, on and off, I procrastinated and  like so many made so many excuses of why I couldn’t pursue it.I found myself  praying for direction  for my gifting, then I got it like  a revelation, a light was switched on. The thing is I already knew my gift  and yes others identified this gift in me too, but .I hadn’t wholly pursued it. I almost felt like a child whose hands were still filled with sweets but yet outstretched and still crying  for more even though I hadn’t finished consuming  what I was already had in my hands.

It was time for soul search,I began to challenge myself, and asked questions like, what had I done with the gift/talent that God had already deposited in me, who has benefited  from  this gift ? have  I explored all opportunities to utilised my gift? these  were not easy questions,but  once I had to face them.

*REMEMBER* you are a unique design, use the gifting, talents that you have, develop them and work on them most of all seek the Lord for direction and step out into your calling and talents. I believe we have been given our talents, callings not just for ourselves, but because of others who might benefit from it, so we should always think bigger than ourselves. Let your piece become effective,your piece might be the missing piece needed to complete  the puzzle.  Every piece matters we are all part of Gods plan we have bee created for a purpose.
