The Challenge Keep On Track Part 2 – You Can Do It !!

 Few pointers below ⇓ ⇓ hope you find them useful    

  What’s your plan?

  • First identify what you want to accomplish or the goals you want to meet.
  • Don’t just bring forward  all  your uncompleted goals from last year, not to say you cannot bring forward,but it might helpful if you reviewed the list before you decide to bring forward  e.g are they as much priority now than last year.
  • Write your goals down and make your list as you desire. This could  range from 1 or 10 things or more it’s your choice. Keep your list visible so that you don’t loose sight of it as they act as a motivator to keep you focused. (e.g. I like to have my list in my diary, but I always have a list printed and stuck on my wardrobe wall)
Organisation

Organise your goals, projects into categories these can be grouped into long term or short term, projects, by doing so this helps to bring some structure in how you go about executing your plan and prioritising.

Aspired Completion Date

Now you have organised your goals, projects, try to set yourself a target or time frame in which you want to complete the goal or project. It is very important to assign an “aspired completion date” I refer to it as aspired completion date to allow flexibility to review and amend the target date if need be. Having a deadline date,gives us a focus and drive and often acts as a  motivator for us to work towards accomplishing our goal.

Activating your plan

This is where we it’s all “about you” you must take responsibility and do the work needed to get the desired results, no input no output its as simple as it is.  This is where it all happens, turning our goals, resolution, projects into an accomplished or completed project. Sadly, on the flip side this is where most people have the biggest dip, they lose their vision, the drive, passion, enthusiasm, no motivation, and simply give up or move to something else they feel is less of a hassle our onerous. What ever your goal act on it, just  do it , stop procrastinating.

The Stumbling Blocks 

You might  think its all plain sailing, especially with all the planning and prep work ! but oh no .There may be times when you  may come up against a stumbling block, then what ? some you can work through and others might be out of your control, but none the less, remember that a stumbling block does not mean the end of your goal or project. I think that the key factor here is our perception of the stumbling block, however we have a  choice to go around it, Jump over it, and  better  still  move it out completely. so  you can accomplish your goal.  Unfortunately some may  simply just stare at the stumbling block without trying, and  give up and do nothing  but complain about the obstructive nature of the stumbling block.

A determined and focus mind is needed, to activate and see the plan in action e.g.  If  your goal is say perhaps to loose weight and part of your plan requires you to do some  form of  exercise and go on a diet  plan. There are times when you may not feel like going to the gym or “walking round the park” or you just want to indulge in that enticing chocolate cake your colleague has  brought into work for their birthday! but you must be disciplined and focus and remember your goal, so in order to work towards your goal, means you must do your exercise and pass on that lovely chocolate cake and instead settle for some nicely cut carrot sticks, which is e

The Reward

Saving the  best till last, every athlete that competes in a race hopes and aims to get the reward, but to get any of the top 3 medals,Gold Silver or Bronze, the athletes have to focus to get their desired result. The medal ceremony and standing on that podium is their reward. All the intense training and determination has paid off, So I guess its not strange that  I find it very rewarding after completing a goal from my list and have it crossed  off as  completed , this brings such a sense of achievement.

Let us  be people that  are doers, do not under estimates your capabilities,we can often do far  more  than we think. Do not give up,stay focus and on course and accomplish your goals focus you can do it!!
