Explore on a Budget …

hmm….I am not quite there yet as a super frequent BA  flyer, where I can accumulate more air miles,which opens doors to more Executive Club benefits..but I’m working on it  .. a few more flight like a lot more to go phew will see how that goes !!

My Benefits so far …Last  year I had a  whopping £110 off my flight  from London to Houston Texas by paying part of my flight cost with my BA Avois point that was a Super Amazing Discount and I was dancing ?? all the way Ok back to  my “Budget Holiday”

My goal every year is to do one Long Haul  where possible, and one Short Haul, which is usually a short break with my “Girlfriends”  We sent ourselves a “budget”inclusive of Flight and Accommodation, Travel ,Food and Excursion -like going on  the ” Tour Bus” which  I always find useful and good way of seeing the main  tourist attraction site, especially if it’s a short trip and we are pressed for time.  I recently  just  got back  from a the budget  getaway to Turin with my girlfriends, it was  a well deserved  break but what  makes it  even better and  worth sharing that it was  done on a  budget but standards not compromised.

British Airways usually do a massive sale every January and if your an avid traveller it’s worth checking it out . Well we did ,and actually managed to book  a flight albeit, a day before the sale ended, talking about last minute   phew we almost missed out, simply because we didn’t know where to go. The return price If I remember right was about £75 Return which is good for 4 days short haul ..but wait here’s the good part … because we used some of our BA Avois points,I ended up paying .. you never guess ??? a whooping

£35 Return ????isn’t that just a bargain !! it sure was to my card!!

One of my girlfriend  is really good at drilling down so she is always tasked with research and booking of Hotels she is very thorough has eye for detail  and she is pretty  good  at getting a good  hotel at a good deal, and that  is  exactly what she got  us for this trip. Anyway she got us a good deal for the 3 nights including breakfast  at  £ 45 each,  so the overall cost for Flight and Hotel comes to a grand total of £80 under a £100 ..this probably our lowest ever holiday we’ve banked so far ??so it was worth it and we had a refreshing, active , but yet  relaxing holiday.

If you want that  getaway, then it is best you start  planning now,if you haven’t already  done so, watch out for  the vouchers and offers use them they are there to be used

Although I have referred  to the  above  schemes, there are many other  flight reward  schemes,and store reward cards that  you  can sign up to, you have to decide  which ones you want. Apart from those mentioned above, I  have a few others that I use.
